DNA Vaccinations
A vaccine is a product that provides immunity from a disease and can be administered through needle injections, mouth, or aerosol . DNA vaccines have entered into clinical trials to fight and protect against various diseases including cancer. DNA vaccines use the genes that code for those extremely important antigens. Studies have discovered that when the genes for a cells antigens are introduced into the body, some will take up that DNA. The DNA then instructs those cells to make the antigen molecules. The cells stash the antigens and display them on their surfaces. The body’s cells become vaccine creators, constructing the antigens useful for enhancing the immune system in order to protect against certain diseases.
